Speeding fines

I’ve been feeling nervous about outstanding speeding fines. These days, if they catch you in a road-block with outstanding fines, they’re likely to chuck you in jail. Not something you want to happen to you in SA, believe me.

There was one fine in particular that was bothering us. M sent a cheque to pay for it some time back, but it was never cashed.

So today he found a really nice site online where you can check exactly what your status is regarding outstanding fines, and where you can also pay them while you’re at it. They charge R5 for their cut which I thought was reasonable. They must be making a killing though!

So now we’re clean. Also, we get much less fines these days because of the cruise-control on the car.
