Cellphone photo’s

Our trusty HP camera is once again out of action. Luckily, it’s just the rechargable batteries that need to be replaced, but they’re kind of expensive. To the tune of R150. They’re supposed to last longer than 2.5 months though, surely. I think it could be due to the fact that I am charging them through the docking station.

In the meantime, before I get so far as to replace the damn batteries again, I am taking photo’s with Michael’s Nokia N95, which does take quite stunning photo’s.

Here is one of the exquisite sunset we had this afternoon, taken from our front yard. I’ve never seen one quite like it…

I also tried to take a photo of my Double Delight that did its swan song of the season, but unfortunately the camera focused on the brick wall behind the rose. I’m not exactly au fait with the settings on the cell’s camera. Still, you can get an idea of the absolute beauty of this rose. It is a bi-colour, with the unsullied cream as the base colour and then the vivid contrast of the scarlet margins where the sun has touched it.

And nothing can beat its perfume. It has the most luxuriously lovely scent I have come across. Only wish I could bottle it!
