Blogging Bunny-style

Not as easy as it looks!

Well, Chi Kung is not easy. I was a bit naive to think I’d just do it. (And I don’t mean physically challenging. It involved a lot of mental intention co-ordinated with the breathing, co-ordinated with the exercise. Three-prong approach. Visualization hasn’t particularly been my strong point up to now, but I’m giving it a go. I guess it’s like anything else in life – the more you practice, the easier it gets. Or as Gary Player famously said, “The more I practice, the luckier I get.”

I’m sleeping well at night, and this morning I actually got up before 7. Incredible, if you know me at all, lol. Just makes the day longer. Funny how not long ago the days were too long for me, I was bored and lonely. Now there’s so much to do, and I’m having a ball. I’m busy blogging while I should be working, ha ha. Still I’ve just finished a really challenging session of chi kung. I’m still busy with the first exercise. Actually, it’s not even the first exercise, only the prep for the first exercise. It’s called the tree meditation and involves quite a bit of memorization. But at least I’ve started. It’s kinda spiritual. A bit weird, I guess you could say, to us westerners. But if weird can help me, so be it.

Bloody Walter (the wasp) is doing the rounds in my house again. Who invited him in? He can be glad I have a sensitivity to chemicals, or I might have spritzed him with a can of Doom. Speaking of chemicals, that is one stage of The Healing Code that I can at least skip. Dermott says to get rid of all harmful chemicals in your home, as far as possible. That I did long ago, simply because I can’t tolerate them. Michael is noticing chemicals now (at work, in other people’s homes) because our home doesn’t have them and hasn’t had them for a long time. No air-fresheners, harsh detergents, perfumes, any type of aerosols etc. I even have an environment-friendly washing powder for my machine. I like to think that this way of living is benefiting both myself and Michael. People tend to think that these products aren’t harmful because they don’t notice immediate effects. But long-term, they are detrimental to health. But because no-one takes their health seriously until they’ve lost, people don’t want to hear.

Got to go spruce up a bit now because M and I are going to the post office to try and get rid of that stupid kalahari parcel. They sent me the wrong CD, and asked me to return it to their freepost address. But do you think the post office would accept that? No way. This is try no.2 and if they don’t take it this time, Kalahari will be notified that they can send a courier to my house to pick it up. This was their mistake, so why do I have to battle with it?

The post office accepted. Now I just have to hope for the best, because as M pointed out, they never gave me any proof that I handed it in.

Oh well. This wasn’t the most productive day ever. I’m already skiving off work, lol. Still, it’s only 5pm. Plenty of time to do the carrot juice thing and another session of chi kung. Mmm, not looking forward to that so much. It was quite draining. Probably because I’m mostly clueless about what I’m doing. I can only hope that this will improve.

  2. You are one hell of a boss. Darn you don’t give you employee any slack. No time to ease into the job. I get irritated by stuff like that too (the Kalahari thing) THEY make the mistake and that they make it your problem. Not fair
