Short progress report

3-month plan going brilliantly! Yesterday had exclusively fresh fruit, and for dinner steamed veggies, brown rice and lentils for protein.

Today I had the same, only for protein I had steamed quinoa (pro. keen-wa), which is a fantastic South American grain (well, actually a fruit, but classified as a grain), a very good quality protein containing amino-acids left, right and centre. AND I actually made myself fresh carrot and orange juice.

Didn’t exercise today though, as I left it too late, and it was either make supper or exercise. Tomorrow I’m going to the gym though, so all good.

Rain still going strong.

Numb legs still going strong. Frankly, they were doing better on the junk-food regime, but anyway. Could be a ‘transitional’ thing. Hope so.

Less than two weeks of chelation left and then I can go back to my non-garlicky self. Michael will be relieved 😉

Today, I actually declined some raison-bread (though I’m not that partial to it) and some strawberry yoghurt (which I am partial to). I’ve cut out dairy, gluten and preservatives, mainly, so that does eliminate a fair bit. I’m trying to concentrate more on what I’m adding to my diet, however, than what I’m removing from it. High-quality foods, is what I’m going for, and I’ve found that if I fill up on bread and junky foods, I have no room left for the quality stuff. Took me a while to figure that out, let me tell you.

  1. Hrmmm, do me a favor and visit this site: http://www.vegparadise.com/basics.html

Are you eliminating eggs from your diet as well? Some items may be missing from your diet and could cause problems down the road.

  3. I admire your positive attitude, Maggs. You don’t realise it, but I draw lots of strength from your posts. Good luck with the new eating habits – wish I had your will power!!!
