Bryan Adams, the one and only…

with one comment

I haven’t ever really, really, really, ever loved…Bryan Adams. In fact, I have been known to slag him off a bit disparagingly on one or two occasions, claiming that ‘it’s not my type of music at all’.

Well, I’ll have to take it back, swallow my words, eat my hat, as well as humble-pie etc.

I’ve been (sort of) following the current SA Idols contest. There is some substantial talent this year, I must say. And the favourite contender sang Bryan Adams’ song “Have you ever really loved a woman.” She sang it so beautifully that it actually brought tears to my eyes. (And no, I most definitely don’t have PMS) This in turn caused me to listen to the Bryan Adams’ original with new repect. I can’t speak for his music in general (yet), but that song is quite exceptionally lovely.

It’s like I always say, people (or songs) are rarely famous without reason. The masses are never wrong *said tongue in cheek, but with a hint of truth*
