Some rose photo’s and a pooch :-)

My roses did a fantastic flush in October, but have been having a little rest thus far in November.

This past week’s rain seems to have hastened on the next bloom, which is starting in patches here and there.

My Harmony rose did a full second bloom that is just about past already…

Garden Queen is delicately opening a new bud, too… (I just love the green patches on the guard petals)…

Then there is this lone forerunner on Oyster Pearl…

And there’s Bride’s dream finishing off a bloom of 7 roses. Very ipressive, actually, because the plant nearly died last year and has made quite a come back.

But the star of the show, at this stage, is the Red ‘n Fragrant.

Michael’s Aunty Pam and her husband stopped by to visit us. They wanted to see our rose garden, but as few of the bushes are carrying roses at the moment, it was a bit of a disappointment. So I picked the Red ‘n Fragrant for her to take as a souvenir 🙂 It has such a gorgeous smell, that rose, that it made up for the rest of the garden looking a bit sparse.

(Earlier today, that self-same rose was on facebook, and has received at least 6 likes already. Just saying 😉 )

And lastly, a picture of my old Ted, watching me indulgently as I cavort around the garden with my camera…
